Blind to the way we see
each other, we look
in the same direction
at the moment of totality.
For only a short time,
all our differences are eclipsed.
For only a short time,
we watch together as one.
In the darkening of the sky,
we see more clearly
than we ever have. We see
each other for what we are.
What a phenomenon.
