Pajama Pants or
I’ve finally worked it out
after years of being laughed at
in burgeoning relationships,
even the occasional one-night stand.
Now I slip into plaid legs
with confidence,
pull the drawstring tight
and call them my Midnight Trousers.

A light dusting of crucifix;
think Jesus-adjacent
(not Barabbas),
enough to say you’re in a
traditionally catholic country,
but don’t leave a bad review if

Busted Flush
I feel like my plumber is disappointed
that I only get in touch when I need something.
He knows I can’t do anything practical
so he holds all the cards in this relationship.
He must be wooed.
